Through this half-term in Year 4 we have been learning about the Romans. We have used two different texts in particular to help us find out more about this amazing time in history. We have done a lot of research on the Roman army, the Roman Empire and Roman roads and towns using the DK Find Out! book below. Also, we have learned a lot about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii in AD 79. We looked at the story of Tranio and Livia in the text ‘Escape from Pompeii’ to help us with this. We all thought that it was an incredible tale!
